Silly REALTORS Chase the Snow Moon

Snow Moon RisingSilly REALTORS Chase the Snow Moon

Jay and I just love exploring our coastline and we love chasing the full moon risings and watching the sun set with all it’s magnificent dramatic colors and back splashes.  Last night we took advantage of the full Snow Moon rising and clear skies to meet at the beach after I got off from work and enjoy the show.  Watch the video below and you will see why I say ” Silly REALTORS Chase the Snow Moon “….  silly we are!

Afterwards the wonderful show that nature put on we drove to Seabrook NH and had dinner at the Outback restaurant. The food was good and service very nice and the menu works well with a low carb lifestyle.  Our NH Seacoast is extra special and if you lived here you could enjoy it too.  Call us at 603-944-9172 to explore all your NH real estate options!

Full Moon Hampton Beach NH

Jay and I drove over to Hampton Beach in hopes of catching the full Hunters Moon Rising.  It took us 30 minutes to get there from our home in Hampstead. The weather was chilly but not windy. We love the beach and love chasing the moon.  Our video is not the best quality but hopefully it will give you a little idea of how pretty the beach is, especially in the off season.  We love exploring and sharing all our special places and hope you enjoy seeing our pictures and videos as well.  New Hampshire is a special place to call home, a small state with a wonderful lifestyle comprised of mountains, lakes, ocean, large cities and small towns. The Atlantic ocean is amazing and watching the rising of the full moon Hampton NH is extra special.  We always say NH offers something for everyone.  Jay and I have been full time NH REALTORS since 1985 and would love to help you with any real estate needs you have.

New Hampshire Special Spots

Frozen Jay and MonikaNew Hampshire Special Spots

It’s been a long cold winter in Southern NH with more snow than I can ever remember seeing filling my yard. Spring market might be a bit harder this year as I really think the melt will take awhile and then of course “brown” or “mud” season commonly known as spring will begin.  That said, if you are looking to move to NH you might enjoy this video playlist of some of our New Hampshire special spots.  These video clips,  while I am in no way a professional videographer, which will of course be apparent once you start watching the videos, will show you a real slice of life in NH.

Please also consider contacting us for your home buying and selling needs as we know all the New Hampshire special spots and communities and the real estate market.   Jay and Monika 603-944-9172 /BHHS Verani Realty 603-772-0600

A trip along the seacoast

Hot Summer's dayTraveling  along the New Hampshire seacoast can be a treat especially if you only live about a half hour away. You can take a nice day trip and see a lot of beautiful sites if you like to stop and smell the roses.

One of the things we like to do on a nice sunny day whether it’s Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter is we’ll start off in Seabrook NH just over the Massachusetts border and work our way up the coast to Portsmouth.

In Seabrook you can stop at Brown’s Seafood Restaurant and have fresh lobster, steamers or fried food. Remember to bring cash as they don’t take credit cards but they do have an ATM machine.

Next head north on Route 1A and cross over the Hampton bridge and you will be in Hampton Beach, a place I visited a lot as a child back in the sixties. On a nice hot summer day you will need to get there early in order to secure a nice parking space. It’s very tough to find free parking at Hampton beach. Just remember the ocean can be very cold even on a hot summer’s day.  There are plenty of shop’s to browse in and places to grab a quick lunch if you are hungry.

Then keep heading north and you will enter North Hampton. North Hampton Beach isn’t usually as crowded as Hampton beach but again A ride along the coastthere is limited free parking. The drive along the coast is breathtaking.

We travel up this way at least once or twice a month and then even more times depending on the weather. Even though our coastline is only 19 miles long there are plenty of spots to pull over and snap a few shots. The windy roads lead to majestic views.

From North Hampton you will cross over to a town called Rye. If you like to surf  stop at Jenness State Beach or just watch the surfers navigate the swells. Best to surf at mid to high tide. The views along this stretch of highway are wonderful.

You can stop and have a picnic at Rye Beach State Park. Just remember there usually is a fee to park during the summer months.

One thing Monika and I love to do is stop here and watch the full moon rise from the horizon.  Full moon risingFor us there is nothing prettier than the full moon rising from out of the ocean’s horizon.

What’s also pretty cool is when the sun sets in the west and the full moon rises in the east, as it gets darker you can see the moon beam splash across the Ocean.

This past year we have watched the full moon rise during the winter months. This does become a challenge with the bitter cold and sometimes the heavy snow cover.

That still doesn’t stop us from heading out along the coast during the dead of winter to see the beautiful sites the New Hampshire coastline offers.

A little further north you can stop at Odiorne Point State Park and onsite is the seacoast science center. This park is where the first setttler’s of New Hampshire resided in the 1660’s.

As you come across a small rotary in Portsmouth turn right and follow it to route 1B. This road will take you through the quaint little town of New Castle.  If you have the time and the money a must stop is a weekend get away at the Wentworth by the Sea Inn. Wentworth by the Sea

They have a great state park called Great Island Common where you get spectacular views of the mouth of the Piscataqua Great Island Common.River and Whaleback Lighthouse in Maine. Plenty of picnic areas as well.

Here are a couple of the videos we shot along the coast.

New Hampshire’s Seacoast a Must See

OceanfrontDog days of summer are gone.

Summer is over and we are full swing into Autumn, does Autumn discourage you to going to the beach? It shouldn’t, just check out some of our videos along along the seacoast of NH and Mass.

Autumn is a great time to walk the beach.

We still will have some beach walking weather left this fall and  even in the winter time.

New Year’s day a New Tradition.

Monika and I usually like to take a traditional New Year’s day walk along Hampton Beach. The last few years we have been in  a light jacket as temps were in the mid 50’s which is balmy for New England on January first.

Most of the stores maybe closed but you will still find some hard core beach shop owners with their doors still open and don’t forget the restaurants will be open to serve you those hot Clam Chowders and French Onion soup feasts along with delicious seafood samplings.

Many videos to wet your whistle will play one right after the other.
