There is a public boat access and depending on the season there can be a sea of aquatic vegetation spreading over the pond. While you will have some power boats dotting the pond it remains relatively unspoiled and ideal for the nature lover.
The pond is a fisherman’s delight and an ideal spot for flat-water canoeing or kayaking. One can paddle through a channel of fairly pristine marsh to Country Pond.

The Powwow River, between Country Pond and Powwow Pond is home to the most extensive complex of Atlantic white cedar swamp forest wetlands in the state of New Hampshire and is also known as one of the largest and most productive aquifers.
